I dont really have much to write about right now nor do i have the time. MC is keeping me super busy between class assignments and my social tribe. I almost never have a free moment because there is always something i have to do. Today was not a very good day because i dont think i did that great on my chemistry test, i had to go to the nurse, and i have just been very scatter brained all day. I went to Kroger today to buy some things and I set my keys and phone down for a minute and i almost ended up walking out of there without them. I wouldnt have gotten very far tho because i wouldnt have been able to drive without my car keys ha. So i turned around and went back to the checkout to get them. This girl that works in there was looking at me kind of funny. Im sure she probably thinks i am ditzy now. Oh well. I just have so much on my mind that i cant think straight. I cant wait for Thanksgiving to get here so i can take a little break from school and all this craziness.

Family Weekend

This weekend was family weekend at MC. All the parents could come visit their MC daughters or sons, and their brothers, sisters, friends, and whoever else could also come along to visit on campus. There were many activities planned for the entire weekend such as: a tea party with the student's new tribe (if they joined one), tailgaiting on the quad, barbeque for dinner, and watching MC's football game against Louisiana College! These were just some of the events lined up for Saturday. There were many more events planned. My mom, sister, and friend Jessica came to visit me Saturday, and we all had a lot of fun. My family and I are from Byram so they only had to drive about ten minutes to get here. I got into Laguna Tribe so we went to Laguna's tea party that morning. They had so much food for everyone and it was really good. Then, we walked around campus for a few minutes and hung out in my dorm room for a little while. For lunch, we all went to Dairy Queen. That is definitely my favorite fast food restuarant. We stuffed ourselves with burgers and ice cream and then came back to my dorm to get ready for the other events. At four o'clock we went to the quad for tailgaiting. We went to the Laguna tent and talked to a few people, I yelled some Laguna chants with all the girls during the contest to see what tribe or club had the best tent and decorations, and then we finally ate some of the delicious food that the Laguna girls made! Around five o'clock, my family, Jessica, and I sat down and ate barbeque chicken that Sodexho had made. We barely had enough room in our stomachs for the chicken because we were still so full from lunch. After we ate, we went to watch the football game. It was the first football game that I, and my family and Jessica, had been to at MC. It was fun to watch because our team did so well against Louisiana. After the game, we were very tired so I said goodbye to my family, and I went to my dorm room for some much needed sleep. Family Weekend was very fun and I am glad that my some of my family and friends got to see what it is like on campus!
